What is photography

What is photography? It is an art of creating images by recording the light. Photography is defined as science, art and preparation of long-lasting images by way of making a record of electromagnetic radiation or light reflection. In general, a lens serves the purpose of emitting or reflecting light from objects and presenting actual images on the camera’s light sensitive surface, at the time of exposure. Photography has many uses in doing business, science, art and any other purposes which can be derived from the three mentioned. Photograph comes from a greek word "photos" which means light, "graphe" which means drawing and all together gives the phrase "drawing with lights". 

The device doing photography is called a Camera which allows the photographer to have the control on the lens to expose the light . The camera is a dark room which possibly excludes all the lights except the one that forms the image. This new discovery gained the interest of scientists since it became them able to record their study movements. Before scientists, artists were mostly amazed by photography since it was a new option for them to imagine and create new aspects of art.

More and less all of us have pictures from ourselves either with the family or friends anywhere. The point is we could capture the time whenever we want to and we refer to them whenever we need to. The human being made it easier to have the moments beside you, have them, feel them, whenever you want by the discovery called photography.

As a photographer, I'm amazed of how this could effect our emotions by recording and picturing elements of life. I'm so happy that I'm able to keep those moments beside me. Photographers, who have a true understanding of the question, what is photography?, usually deliver good quality photographs and the good communication between these two term make the creative works.

Traditionally, a negative film image is used to actually produce a positive photographic image, which is classified as a photo print by use of contact printing or an enlarger.  There are various ways in which people use photos, some of the most common ways of use include recreational activities, business, art, manufacturing and science.An electronic picture sensor functions through an electrical charge by each pixel, and this is electronic processing, as well as digital image file storage, necessary for efficient display. A photographic emulsion exist as an undetectable latent image, which undergoes chemical development to produce extended visibility as a positive or negative, but is mainly determined by the processing method and photographic material function.

Photography is a great way to keep memories alive. A photo does not only represent what individuals visualize realistically.  Oftentimes, it symbolizes a realistic image, unseen ordinarily by the naked eyes. Photos enable persons to have a deeper insight on reality and make it easier to individuals to share their expressions in a meaningful way.

It is not necessary for photographers to make purchase for the most expensive cameras to capture a beautiful picture that demonstrates high quality, because the quality of the photograph relies primarily on the photographer’s skillfulness at capturing the photo efficiently. Primarily, it is important that people learn the essentials and know better about what is photography; this is necessary for developing the essential skills to produce high quality photos.
