First photograph

First photograph produced with its perfect colors came to being during the advancement of camera work in the middle part of 20th century by Joseph Nicephore. Yet, there are many stories to tell about the firs type of photographs that has been produced. However, there are so little things have been written about the first photograph as everything has been captures in still being. Anyway, it is quite interesting to know how the first photograph was made as many would like to know about.

The Heliograph

The first photograph produced was made possible with the heliograph. It is a crude design by the French inventor Joseph Niepce. This type of camera made use of bitumen, a leading substance used in building of roads. But before we paved the roads with it, photography was born out of the still pictures produced.  This is made possible using the simplest form of camera. The bitumen is placed in the plates and which in turn will be placed in the camera. Once exposed, bitumen will react to the light and will harden. And with the hardened bitumen, you can see a still photograph in monochrome.

The Daguerreotype

The next type of the first photograph is the daguerreotype. This type of photograph was used earlier and has been vital to some of the most important documentations in the world. Many presidents and important figures have been captured thanks to this camera. Just imagine if they did not have this type of camera. We might wonder how Abe Lincoln looked like.

The Film

If there is one thing that has revolutionized camera, that is the production of the film. It has made photography a lot of easier and yet more convenient to produce. At the same time, the ease of having a film proved to be the main reason of the burgeoning film industry. Yet, these types of photography would not be possible thanks to the first photograph.
