Photography history

Photography history is what, one may be interested in order to improve his/her own skills through discovering how old photographers were doing and performing this art and it might be fascinating to photography fans as well. The reason is that you might wonder how in a single flash, you can capture some of the most candid moments.  And yet, photography has been an important thing in our history. The reason for that is we have an idea of how the life of a pre-century world exits.

Thanks to this photography, we do not have to invent a time machine to reconstruct them. And at the same time, photography has also revolutionized our way of life. From the simple still pictures to the moving pictures, it has made a difference from the way we live life and document it.

But do you know that photography history started way back during the time of the ancient Greeks. Indeed, it has been said that Aristotle and Euclid tried to theorize on how to write pictures through their mathematical calculation. Yet, it proved to be thousands of years before that could came into being.  The first time of camera is the camera obscura which captures the image and project it inverted manner. These have lead many people to experiment on many things.

The Early Photo Paper

Years before still pictures where invented, several attempts has been made to capture images. Many scientists tried their luck on some chemical effects that reacts with light. And that has been made possible thanks to the earliest trial and error photo papers.

Photography history has made a big leap with the discovery of heliographic process. This crude type of photography has made a distinction thanks to the process using asphalts. Bitumen or asphalts usually reacts to light and thanks to it, the first photograph was produced with the process invented by Joseph Niece.

From Daguerro Type to Modern Cameras

The thing that is interesting about the photography history is how cameras have changed in just a period of 100 years.  It takes less than a century even to do it.  Just imagine if those belligerent French and English forces in the Hundred Years War would have devoted time to photography, they could have developed an aged long advanced technology.

The first types of cameras are the Daguerro types. These are so bulky. Of course, you could not just bring them anywhere. That is why you can also see limited pictures with these types of camera. Then, George Eastman came with his film based camera. It has revolutionized the way camera has been made. But, the most important invention of all is how camera has become digital.

With the advent of modern personal computers, the need to convert those still pictures in digital version has paved the way for many cameras to be what it is right now. By just one click, you could broadcast your pictures and share them to the millions of people around the world.

It is interesting how photography came to be. Yet, we are in the phase of photography history where we witness the marvels of our modern time.
